The largest-ever student body 鈥撎齨umbering 5,731 鈥� enrolled for the fall semester at 蘑菇传媒 as the 2022-23 year kicks off with increases in all key areas: undergraduate enrollment, graduate enrollment and both the Abilene campus and 蘑菇传媒 Online.
鈥淚t鈥檚 exciting and humbling to welcome our largest-ever student body this year, as more and more students are attracted to the transformative experience and world-class education offered at 蘑菇传媒,鈥� said Dr. Phil Schubert, 蘑菇传媒 president. 鈥淲e鈥檙e also impressed with the academic strength of these incoming students. As always, I鈥檓 grateful for the hard work and intentionality on the part of our faculty, staff and administration, who have continued to adapt and excel, particularly over the past few years. These 5,731 students are here for a reason, and we鈥檙e thrilled to have them as part of our community.鈥�
This fall鈥檚 new student residential enrollment in Abilene increased by 7% with 1,024 new students, and the entering freshmen cohort includes 34 valedictorians/salutatorians, 12 National Merit Commended students and five National Merit Finalists. These talented students are from every region of Texas, the continental United States and across the world.
蘑菇传媒 Online enrolled its largest number of new students to date this fall, seeing the most significant growth in undergraduate online programs. Overall enrollment continues to grow at a pace of 20% over the prior year.听
