Sex Offender Registration Information

In accordance with the Campus Sex Crimes Prevention Act of 2000, which amends the Jacob Wetterling Crimes Against Children and Sexually Violent Offender Registration Act, the Jeanne Clery Act and the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act of 1974, the 蘑菇传媒 Police Department is providing a link to the Texas Department of Public Safety Sex Offender Registry. The link is listed below to your convenience.

This Act requires institutions of higher education to issue a statement advising the campus community where law enforcement information provided by the State concerning registered sex offenders may be obtained.

The Act also requires sex offenders who are required to register in the State to provide notice of each institution of higher education in the State at which the offender is employed, enrolled or carries on a vocation.

In the State of Texas, convicted sex offenders are required to register with the local municipal or county law enforcement agency that holds primary jurisdiction for the area in which the offender lives. Local agencies then submit this information to the Texas Department of Public Safety, Crime Records Division, Austin Texas. .
